On his return the mason was so jealous of the pillar's beauty, he killed the apprentice. In the afternoon, we will visit Newhailes House, recenlty opened by the National Trust for Scotland after a programme of restoration. It is also where the members of the Scottish Enlightenment met to discuss art and literature. Depart Kildean Market car-park at 9.00am returning at approximately 5.30pm. Cost per person including entrance to Roslin Chapel and lunch £16.50.
